Getting More From a Single Keyboard Take

Start by carving space. A gentle high-pass filter keeps the keys from crowding your bass, and a small dip around the vocal range keeps the lead clear.

Try a touch of stereo width or a short room reverb to make the part feel like it lives in the same space as the rest of the track.

Automate volume between sections. Pulling the keys back in verses and lifting them in choruses adds movement without extra recording.

Small decisions like these often matter more than adding more layers.
